Not many great breweries but an ok selection. More expensive than other beer fests I've been to (a 4oz sample is 3.50-$5 and an 8oz sample is $7-$10) that ends up being $12-$17 per pint.
Nice space they decorate though with lots of colours and good food options. Would come again for the experience, not for the beer.
Great location! There's no way I would have the time to try all the types of beer during one night, there's so much beer! It was a very pleasant night.
We bought tickets for the 28th instead of the 27th.. they didn’t eant to re emburse our tickets and made us by tickets for the 27th.. very disapointed in this place. Not reccomended!
This festival is on until July 29th. Family activities with a pool and water activities in the day. Live music and night shows at night.
I go every year and its awesome. The grounds of the museum make it a lovely spot. Great view of the river and parliament. My favourite thing about this festival is that there is practically no trash. All food is handed out in reusable containers with real cutlery which they wash. Cups are reusable to get your beer. Makes the whole thing nice as there are not a million full trash cans everywhere. Well done!
The 2021 version of Festibiere is awesome! It's one of the first festivals actually happening this year, and the organizers have had to severely limit the number of tickets sold to about 10% of normal capacity. It's nice with fewer people because it creates a more intimate event. They have a Ferris wheel that serves as a fantastic lighting feature at night, and they have this little wading pool which is a fun addition for these hot days. It felt so great to join friends and see live music, and of course there's the beer! So many selections, and so cold and refreshing, the sample sizes are reasonable so that you can taste a broad selection of IPAs, sours, darks, reds, etc. without getting too full or too drunk! It's a very fun night out with friends, and couldn't have come soon enough.
Beautiful spots, lack of high end breweries and long wait times for beers. However well worth the time to go and have some fun and great staff overall.
Had fun! But then again, it's a beerfest so how could I not. Prices were decent and allowed me to taste multiple brews with a wide variety of tastes. The site itself is great with a view of Parliament across the river. The only downside was the food trucks. Mostly cheap fast food served at premium prices. It felt a bit "tourist trap" but then again, it's beerfest, not foodfest so... anyway, I'll stick with 4 stars and hope they change it up a bit next year. Definitely recommend though.
